Well after passing out your 10th there will number of different options in front of you to choose for achieving your goals today we are going to explore the various options to choose and the one which best suits you to reach your targets.
Right after 10th there will be basically 5 major options to choose .

1. Intermediate / PUC
- It is a 2 year long course.
- It is the most popular course.
- There are 3 main streams to choose in this
ii - Commerce
iii - Science
i . Arts / Humanities
- If your interested in journalism , languages , history , psychology etc this course is the best option.
- Design arts , languages art , performing art , humanities are the well paid options .
- Art subject encourages creativity and self expression.
- This course helps in increasing your leadership qualities and critical thinking.
- If you are a student who is creative and wants to do humanity courses then arts is the stream for you.

ii . Commerce
- If you have affinity for numbers , business , economics and want to shape your career in economic & business world then commerce is the best option .
- It offers various career options like Chartered Accountants (CA) , investment in banking sector , MBA , CS (Company Secretaryship) etc.
- There are number of commerce streams available like CEC , MEC etc in India .

Note: Among the above mentioned subjects, the main ones are- Economics, English, Business Studies and Economics. Other subjects are optional ones. Availability of optional subject may vary from one educational board to another as well as from one state board to another. Few more optional subjects are- regional languages, physical education, multimedia, fine arts etc. We suggest to take maths because it helps while doing professional courses like CA , CS etc.
iii . Science
- It is the most popular and most liked option buy majority of the students.
- It offers many career options like engineering , medicine and many more.
- The best advantage of this stream is you can jump into commerce and arts streams professional courses but its possible to do same with other streams. ( You cant jump from art and commerce courses into science main stream professional courses ).
- It equips you with excellent problem solving skills.

- If you want to become any kind of engineer this is the best option.
- If you are interested in numbers and looking for higher studies in abroad after the professional main stream course this is the best option.

2. Polytechnic / Diploma
- After 10th students can do polytechnic courses in various subjects .
- The course duration may last from 1 year to 3 years based on the diploma type.

- It is Industrial Training Institutes .
- If you are interested in skill-enhancing courses, you may seek admission to an ITI .
- The duration of course lasts from 6 months to 2 years depending on the type of course.

4. Paramedical
- These courses train you for the lab assistant post in the hospitals and for lab technicians post.

- These are courses that are short period and this certificate helps to land an entry level jobs.
- This course is not as valued as its Diploma counterpart. But this certification is enough to help you land an entry level job .
- These courses are only for 1 year long or even shorter.
